Performance of through lanes in urban areas.

Abstract

The notion of performance of urban lanes which was derived from the movement of a platoon of vehicles. The performance was defined in terms of capacity, vehicle travel time, vehicle running and operating cost and fuel consumption, and calculated for different traffic control schemes and speed limit.
