Abstract

The report is made on drinking experiments with 10 volun-teers. Under all experiments with admixtures of higheraliphatic alcohols as well during the acute phase as inthe next morning, performance deteriorations occurred.During the postethanolic phase, moreover, subjective sen-sations such as hangover were stated. There seem to be aconnection with molecule characteristics, as carbon chainlength, branching and location of the hydroxyl group.
