Abstract

A guide to practice in installing traffic restraint devices, what they set out to achieve and whether to use them at the ends or in the main body of minor streets to restrain volumes and speeds. The paper gives examples, recommends suitable dimensions and paving textures, as well as describing the reactions of those people affected by the measures.
