Abstract

Case reports defining the issues, the result of litigation or settlement, the author’s probable influence on the results, and (where available) citations for reference, are presented. Some unusual and bizarre cases are described. It is stated that reducing the monetary award to injured parties due to failure to use available safety equipment and restraint systems will be a most effective weapon in the arsenal available to combat highway carnage.
