Abstract

A relatively low cost system for transferring high accuracy positional data from photographic form directly to punched data processing cards is discussed. The design and functioning of the prototype device are described, and the accuracy and performance of the man-machine system are evaluated. The device discussed here in was used to obtain accurate measurements of vehicular movements and interactions from motion picture photographs of highway traffic.
