Abstract
The article deals with the safety problem of pedestrians, a problem whose importance has for a long time been underestimated. The text has 3 parts: (A) analysis of a few accident statistical data, (B) present state of the studies carried out in the field of the pedestrian's insecurity and (C) a measurement of the exposure to risk. This study tends to see if differential accidents rates established can be explained by a different exposure to risk.
