Abstract
Pilot study into a quality assurance system for road safety in road design and management. The present report presents a pilot study of quality assurance in road management. Quality assurance in a general sense refers to a coherent structure of activities that are carried out to safeguard the quality of a product or process. In relation with the road safety in road management this involves the elimination of latent errors in the traffic system: a proactive or preventive approach that first considers the system's safety before it looks at unsafe road user behaviour.
