Abstract

To harmonize supply to demand and especially to stimulate supply of urban transportation in Douala and Yaounde, the Cameroonian authorities in charge of transport suggest no more public intervention and institutional barriers to entry. This policy of free competition and liberalism shows some market failures. The adequacy of supply to demand should be improved by measures of incitement. (A) The English title of the paper is: "Plea for another policy in urban transport : incitement versus regulation."
