Abstract

Participation has had an impact on the generation evaluation and selection of alternatives. The nature of transportation demand, parking pricing policy as a substitute for construction of highway facilities are some questions considered. The impact of truck traffic on communities, and the adoption as recommended solution of an option which would not have been considered if not for the participatory process, is described.
