Abstract

It is argued that "system dynamics" enables modelling complex systems in such a way that non-professional politicians and citizens too are able to understand its working. The econometric model "Planning for decline", that has been developed is used as a demonstrating example. After a short introduction into "system dynamics" this model is transformed into a "systems dynamics"- model. Finally, some evaluating remarks are made.
