Abstract

City Link is an exciting project of world standing which is going to form a significant part of Melbourne's landscape, delivering considerable benefits to Victoria. Perhaps of more interest to this forum, are features of the City Link Project which make it unique from a technical perspective. This paper provides an overview of the City Link project and highlights some of its unique features and benefits. It also details how this project has been implemented and achievements so far. Finally, a review is provided of the major challenges faced by the project parties during construction, including future challenges such as the opening of the Western Section of the City Link approaches in April next year.
