Abstract

This paper is devoted to an application of the multi-criteria approach to the design of a new motorway alignment. Some recent developments in the field of qualitative multicriteria analysis will he treated in relation to the problem of systematic route location. The model is illustrated by means of an empirical application to a motorway location problem in the Dutch province of Limburg.
