Abstract

From a geographer's point of view measures taken for pedestrians are discussed. Still 30% of all roads in Germany are pedestrian roads, but a consisten policy does not exist. For cars special plans are made, and pedestrians have to adapt to these. Examples are given. Politicians are not interested in pedestrians like they are in cyclists.
