Abstract

Evaluation is an ancient, but complex task, which includes two parts:finding the relevant facts, and interpreting and communicating them. The first part requires correct techniques, the second adequate communication tools. Polemics have developed on "product" and "process" evaluation, and adequate techniques must be found for both approaches. In traffic safety decisions should not be taken on evaluation alone, but also on other criteria.
