Abstract

This working paper examines the perceptions and opinions of the public regarding the application of law on road traffic in the Member States. The objective is to obtain information relating to national policy and strategies, acceptance, EU recommendations, and future plans to provide the necessary background for further work to promote new methods for improving road safety. Documents relating to public opinion (Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, United Kingdom and Israel) and an analysis of media (Czech Republic) were used for this purpose.
