The purpose of this paper is to elucidate Dutch policy in the field of road safety programmes. A lot of knowledge accumulated in the Netherlands could be very useful for the Russian situation as well. In view of the astonishing lack of road safety data and research from Russia in international issues, attention is focused in particular on the information aspect of road safety programmes
