Abstract

The decentralisation of discussion and decision carried out in Porto Alegre, Brazil, as regards the application of municipal funds, named Participatory Budget - PB, has been widely divulged, in Brazil and out of there. The participation of citizens in the management evolved with the subdivision of the town into 16 administrative regions and the institution of "thematic meetings". One of these refers to "circulation and transportation". This communication concludes with proposals to qualify and increase the participation, some of those were recently applied. For the covering abstract see ITRD E116619.
