Abstract

Telework-transportation tradeoff research is not much diffused in Italy, even if in this country there are some specific conditions that make this phenomenon highly unpredictable, if not properly addressed. In the Turin metropolitan area, data from a survey among the Regio Council staff were processed through a model recently proposed by Mokhtarian in order to assess some hypothetical telework impacts on the whole metropolitan area. The transition phases in the telework-transportation trade-off and the benefits of a policy supporting telework development are explored. For the covering abstract see ITRD E114174.
