Abstract

A study of blood alcohol levels found in 1601 recorded traffic fatalities in Brisbane during 1955-1971, in 152 drivers involved in single vehicle accidents, and in 359 rural and 248 metropolitan traffic victims in a two year period is presented. The need for compulsory tests for alcohol in all accidents cases going to hospital is stressed.
