Abstract

This was one of the 1998 TAC Environment Achievement Award Nominations (1). The Nova Scoita Department of Transportation and Public Works commenced planning for the twinning of Trans Canada Highway 125 in 1991. In 1992 they retained ADI Nolan Davis, consulting engineers, to conduct an environmental screening and protection planning assignment for the proposed twinning project. The project described in this submission is the environmental protection design and construction for the Pottle Lake Reservoir. There was a desire to protect the lake reservoir from the possibility of an accident leading to contamination of the water supply.
