Abstract
The objective of this paper is to provide supportive care to a trauma patient from the time of injury till definite treatment can be provided for the patient with a view to reduce mortality and morbidity. A lot of controversy exists regarding what should be the ideal pre-hospital management for the injured patient. No system is ideal for all areas. Police formulations for pre-hospital management of the injured will obviously be determined by the availability of trained personnel and technological and economic resources at hand.
