Abstract
A limited precision exercise on the tests in the British Standard method for designing rolled asphalt surfacings was carried out by 16 laboratories who undertook duplicate design procedures on one blend of materials. The results have been analysed according to the British Standard method of assessing precision and the repeatability and the reproducibility of the various factors used in specifying the design are reported.
