Abstract

This paper deals with the problem of forecasting interregional goods vehicle flows. In a variety of planning situations, specially in the context of transport planning at the national level, the necessity arises to predict the flows of goods vehicles on the basis of an exogenous forecast of the interregional commodity flow pattern. The model presented in this contribution is designed to solve this type of forecasting problem.
