Abstract

A method for predicting the economic development that is likely to occur at a given interchange site is developed. The interrelations leading to interchange development and estimating the potential development of non-urban areas are identified. The highway capacity requirements, geometric configurations and traffic control needs according to the land use plan framework are determined.
