Abstract

The study described in this report was conducted with the intention of assessing the possible difficulties tyre to surface noise could cause in the quiet lorry development project. The parameters that most markedly affect tyre noise are vehicle speed, tyre tread pattern, road surface texture, and whether the surface is wet or dry.
