Abstract

A computer study of variable braking vehicle was made in which the time required to apply and release the brake torque were considered. The solution indicated that the application of variable braking torque which operated satisfactorily in the presence of relatively high or medium coefficient of friction could not operate satisfactorily at low coefficient of friction between the tire and the road.
