Abstract

The preliminary findings of a study of the causes and management of injuries in the Ottawa region are presented. The findings of the study suggest strongly that there are records kept by the police, coroners, ambulance services and hospitals which contain information which when brought together can give a picture of the events surrounding and following an accident which can be useful in planning preventive treatment measures.
