A preliminary report on trucks in injury producing accidents.

Abstract

It was found that the rate of dangerous or fatal injuries among ejected truck drivers was four times as high as among those drivers who remained inside the vehicle. These findings underscored the importance of the use of restraint systems as well as other ejection countermeasures in trucks.
