Abstract

The controllability and stability of a motorcycle are determined by: stability against crosswind; stability against road surface irregularity; stability at extremely low speed; high-speed stability; characteristics in steady-state circular turn; maximum lateral acceleration; controllability and stability during acceleration; transient response and slalom characteristics. On these items tests are conducted and the results are presented.
