Abstract

This paper discussed some epidemiological and psychological aspects of accidents in the age group of 0-19 years. The youngest children are more liable to traffic- and sports accidents. Research into the psychological backgrounds has revealed that accident proneness is not an unchangeable disposition. In some stages of the motoric, cognitive and social development, children are more liable to accidents than in other stages.
