Abstract

The Injury Control program proposes a national campaign of proven-effective interventions to reduce deaths and injuries to children in motor vehicle and bicycle crashes and to limit unsupervised access of children to firearms. This initiative will build on efforts to be undertaken with the $2 million increase the Presidetn has included in his 1992 Budget for developing information campaigns aimed at increasing the use of child safety seats, seat belts, helmets and other protective equipment.
