Abstract

This paper describes the setting up in France of road safety risk prevention schemes in companies. A firm's road safety strategy consists of a preliminary diagnosis exercise, implementation of a plan of action, and a system of monitoring and assessing the results. The introduction of risk prevention schemes in France was led by government departments and firms of varying size and sector of activity. Results were encouraging. Road safety charters promote road safety schemes in firms. For the covering abstract see ITRD E118917.
