Abstract

This volume contains details of all the measures taken from 1986 to 1993 by the European Conference of Ministers of Transport to ensure better safety on European roads. Sections are provided on the following measures. 1) Ways of influencing human behaviour with a view to improving road safety (Resolution 48). This includes road safety education, publicity, and methods of enforcement. 2) Road safety of children (Resolution 50). 3) The fitting and wearing of seat belts on the rear seats of cars (Resolution 54). 4) Road safety (resolution 55). 5) Advertising the conflicts with road safety aims (Resolution 56). 6) Improving road safety for old people (resolution 91/3). 7) Development of road safety policies (Resolution 92/3). 8) Lorries and road safety (Resolution 93/4). 9) Drink as a factor in road accidents. (Resolution 93/5).
