Abstract

An outline is given of the Road Safety Master Plan 1990. 1995 for Israel. The objectives of the plan are presented. Drawing all possible lessons from the past and taking the challenges of the future into account, the international community set the goal of reducing the incidence of road accidents and injuries by 25% toward the year 2000. The goal of Israel is to lower the incidence of road accidents and injuries to a considerable extent in comparison with the 1986- 1988 levels.
