Abstract
The development of the propulsion technique for trolleybuses and tramways had the purpose to make energy conserving and profitable systems with the aid of energy electronics. Till now on the direct current motor was used. Now two equipments with three phase current propulsion techniques are made; one for an O-bus and one for a tramway- Both are tested in practice. The design of this kind of propulsion and the test results are described.
