Priority at roundabouts.

Abstract

In this Road Research Laboratory study it is concluded that the right-hand or offside priority rule introduced to relieve congestion at a number of roundabouts has increased their traffic capacity by about 10 per cent under overload reduced the corresponding vehicle delays by about half a minute or 40 per cent and reduced the personal injury accidents significantly by about 40 per cent.
