Abstract

The information that is available on priority rules at junctions and roundabouts in other countries is assembled. The arguments for and against a priority rule at roundabouts are discussed and other suggestions for improving conditions at roundabouts are put forward for consideration. Experiments are described for finding the effect of a priority rule on accidents on delay and on driver behaviour.
