Abstract
In the Multiyear Programme for Traffic Safety 1987- 1991 a policy is presented to increase traffic safety by selecting special items for countermeasures. Two of these items: speed and dangerous locations are subject in the research on problem- situations on highways with a 80 km /h speed limit. A definition of a problem situation is presented. Other points of the study, presented in B 31474, 31475 en 31476 are summarized. Recommendations for policy and research are given.
