Abstract

In a paper written by Thomas et al (see B 30668) the question of compatibility in terms of crashworthiness and aggressiveness is addressed. It is found that vehicle weight is one such factor, influencing the outcome of a two- car collision. In this comment, it is concluded that the findings of Thomas et al are correct, but that there are only limited data once the question of an optimal vehicle weight is asked.
