Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the effectiveness of the current method of modelling trip generation used in the Brisbane Strategic Transport Model (BSTM), and to propose an alternative methodology. This paper compares the following models: 1. Linear model: stratified dummy linear regression. 2. Log-linear model: log transform of dependent variable. 3. Zero-Inflated Poisson/Negative Binomial (ZIP/ZINB) regression. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no. E214666.
