Abstract

Overall transportation costs, the impact of catalogue sales on merchandising and distribution, containerization, night delwery, local retail and warehouse locating, and the impact of suburban growth are discussed. It is suggested that intensification of land use in the next 10 years may deplete public parking facilities at stores.
