Problems derived from operating the metro in Santiago.

Abstract

This paper deals with the problems arisen once a section of the Metropolitan Rapid Transit System was put into operation, the provisions adapted to solve them and the proposed general treatments. Requirements for feeding the metro and the redistribution of surface public transportation lines in accordance with the Interurban Highway Transportation Plan integrated by ring roads, radial roads, arterials and other are analyzed.
