Abstract

The aim of this strategy is to introduce a methodology to identify sites, implement remedial treatments and thereby reduce the high percentage of run off the road to the left crashes that occur on right-hand curves (OL/RHC) on high speed, undivided roads. It is also expected that remedial treatments implemented to reduce OL/RHC crashes will have a supplementary effect in reducing off the road to the right on a left-hand bend (OR/LHC) crashes.
