Abstract

A death on the road is followed by procedures which are unfamiliar to most people and which, in many cases, take a long time. The purpose of this book is to provide an introduction to these procedures, including what happens to a body, how the police investigate a death on the road and legal procedures which you may come across - fatal accident inquires, criminal prosecutions and claiming compensation. You may need more information than this book alone is able to provide - it gives advice on who to turn to for more help. (Author/publisher)
