Abstract
The conference papers are divided into 4 sections: (1) Collision analysis and injuries; (2) Restraint system performance; (3) Biomechanics and impact tolerance; (4) Simulation and design. Topics include: a comparison of dummy test results and real pedestrian accidents, collision fires, safety considerations in the design of new transit bus seats, and results of 49 cadaver tests simulating frontal collision of front seat passengers.
