On the 7th and 8th of November, the first International Cycling Safety Conference was held in The Netherlands. The ICSC2012 intends to be the premium forum for researchers and development engineers in the field of cycling safety to exchange their knowledge, to extent their network and to bring up new research topics and safety solutions. This conference is a Dutch initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment, TNO, Fietsberaad (Dutch center of expertise on bicycle policy), SWOV and Delft University of Technology. Three international bicycle safety research activities have been organized at the Automotive Campus in Helmond, the Netherlands: 1) The AsPeCSS-project organized a workshop on the 7th of November.
