Abstract

The National Transportation Safety Board convened a special public hearing in Knoxville, Tennessee, on April 24 and 25, 1991, to obtain information on how fog-related accidents on limited access highways might be prevented. Speakers from Federal, State, and foreign agencies and from the private sector discussed topics ranging from basic fog information, forecasting and detection devices, to policies and programs, to driver behavior, vehicle lighting, and crash avoidance.
