These proceedings, held by the Committee on Public Health of the New York Academy of Medicine, presents recent developments in motor vehicle injury control from research, programmatic, and public policy perspectives. Topics covered include the following: Behavioral Interventions; Occupant Restraint--Active and Passive Countermeasures (Seat Belt Use Laws; The Laws, Referendum Issues, and Automotive Restraints); Emerging Issues (motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, pedestrians, injury control).
