Abstract

Some of the most important issues in psychology and related disciplines centre around the problem of representing dynamic processes, for example in human cognition and functioning, and in human society. This book contains the notes of lectures on several subjects related to this problem, in fields such as: automata theory in application to linguistics and education, mathematical systems approach to cognitive development, picture grammars for pattern recognition and scene analysis artificial intelligence, the interdisciplinary field of logic, probability, deduction and induction.
