Abstract
To prepare the alteration of the law which will introduce breath test equipment as a legal substitution for the blood test a comparitive survey was carried out. The results of standard breath tests (0, 8 pro mille), the new intoxilyzer and the conventional blood tests were compared. The outcome shows that when relying entirely on the intoxilyzer instead of a blood test, no intoxelyzer test would unjustly have shown penal pro mille contents of alcohol (no 'false positives'). On the other hand some would unjustly have been cleared of drunk driving('false negatives').
